Hydraulic chucks are widely used in CNC machine tools. If they are used for a long time, they will not be clamped tightly. In order to ensure that the chucks still have good precision in long-term use, smooth operation is very important. Incorrect or unsuitable lubrication will cause some problems such as: abnormal function at low pressure, weakening of clamping force, poor clamping accuracy.
The hydraulic chuck is abnormally worn and stuck, so it is necessary to properly smooth the chuck. Use chuck lubricating oil, and be sure to clean the chuck body and slideway surface with an air gun or similar tools at the end of the operation. The use of cutting oil with anti-rust effect can prevent the internal rust of the chuck. In case of rust, the clamping force will be reduced, so special attention must be paid.
It is necessary to remove the chuck chuck every six months for cleaning, but if cutting cast iron, clean it once or more every two months. Check whether the parts are broken and worn. After the inspection is over, it needs to be oiled before it can be assembled.
1. Do a good job of lubrication to ensure that the lathe chuck still has good precision after long-term use. But incorrect or improper lubrication will lead to some problems, such as abnormal function at low pressure, weakened clamping force, poor clamping accuracy, abnormal wear and seizure, so the chuck must be lubricated correctly.
2. Apply molybdenum disulfide grease (black in color) once a day, and pour the grease into the nozzle of the chuck until the grease overflows the surface of the jaws or the inner hole of the chuck (the inner hole protective sleeve and the connecting nut). If the chuck rotates at high speed or a large amount of water-based cutting oil is used for processing, more lubrication is required, which must be determined according to different conditions.
3. After the chuck operation is completed, it is necessary to clean the chuck body and slideway surface with an air gun or similar things.
4. Remove the chuck every 6 months for differentiation and cleaning (keep the sliding surface of the jaws clean) and give it a smooth finish. If the cast iron is cut once or more times every 2 months, it should be thoroughly cleaned to check whether the parts are cracked and worn. After the inspection is over, it must be fully oiled before it can be assembled.
5. For different workpieces, use different clamping methods or make special fixtures. (The three-jaw chuck is only a general-purpose clamping tool. It is forced to use it to clamp irregular or weird workpieces, which will cause damage to the chuck.) If the chuck pressure is not normal, the chuck will be under high pressure, or the machine will be damaged. After the machine is turned off, the chuck will still clamp the workpiece, which will reduce the use time of the chuck.
6. The use of anti-rust cutting oil can prevent the internal rust of the chuck, because the rust of the chuck will reduce the clamping force and cannot clamp the workpiece.
